According to Scripture, God blessed Solomon with wisdom that exceeded that of any other person that has ever lived (1 Kin. 3:12) other than Jesus Christ (Matt. 12:42). God, however, did not just give His wisdom to Solomon and to His people Israel when He did so because Solomon in a remarkable way was a channel of that divine wisdom to all the earth:
1Ki 4:34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
1Ki 10:23 So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. 24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
Furthermore, the wisdom that God gave Solomon was multifaceted:
1Ki 4:32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
This biblical data shows that God has greatly blessed the whole world through Solomon in a profound way that I believe is little appreciated in our day. Only God knows how much good other nations besides Israel have experienced over the years because of God’s goodness to them through Solomon’s glorious worldwide legacy.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your matchless wisdom that you have imparted to all mankind through Solomon! Praise the Lord!
