What the Bible teaches about Satan and his demons is not a very popular devotional subject by any means. Nonetheless, I am convinced that it is a subject that needs serious and concerted attention among believers today.
Consider these facts that the Bible reveals:
1. Satan and his demons are real.
2. They are incorrigibly, irredeemably, and insatiably malignant.
3. They are *proactive* in seeking to oppress and destroy humans.
4. Scripture records many accounts of authentic encounters between humans and demons.
5. Scripture teaches that evil men and seducers are going to become progressively worse and worse.
What, then, should we believe is true about sinful humans in our day who engage in activities where their express purpose is contact and interaction with demons? Should we not believe that such people certainly have real, authentic, and genuine contact and interaction with demons?
High levels of Christian skepticism about people in our day who engage in occult activities that truly put those people into contact and interaction with demons has no basis in Scripture and is a very dangerous and problematic current reality.
